About

I am a freelance copyeditor and ghostwriter with more than thirty years of experience (Since 1991! That’s a long time!). My editing portfolio includes literary and genre fiction (including young adult and middle grade, detective, sci-fi, fantasy, and erotica), nonfiction, screenplays, and memoir. I have ghost- or cowritten six historical novels.

Need a technical editor? I specialize in environmental science and sci comm. I have also edited scholarly efforts in anthropology, political science, economics, the humanities, film, and theology. My specialty is making dense, technical language clear and captivating for all readers.

I live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have worked with authors all over the United States and in numerous other countries. My clients are authors seeking traditional representation or indie  publication. They are scholars and academics who have written books, journal articles, and doctoral dissertations. I have worked extensively with English-language learners to polish their technical and scientific writing. I also assist corporate and not-for-profit clients in strengthening their business plans, grant applications, and marketing publications. You can find a short list of past clients and employers here and a list of recently and soon-to-be published books here.
